Analytics

We use GoatCounter to see which pages and links are popular. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites. It records the page, referrer, approximate screen size, browser and country, and it doesn’t store your IP address. See GoatCounter’s privacy policy.

Affiliate links and third-party sites

Links marked “Ad” go to retailers such as Amazon.co.uk. If you click one, that retailer can see you came from us and may set cookies on its own site to credit the referral. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site. Other links go to Gumroad (our printable guides), Etsy, YouTube and official sites such as GOV.UK.

Videos

We don’t embed YouTube players. Video thumbnails are images hosted on this site, and clicking one opens YouTube, where YouTube’s privacy policy applies.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and we delete correspondence when it’s no longer needed.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver and secure the site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookie policy

We don’t set cookies, so there’s no cookie banner. If we ever add cookies that aren’t strictly necessary, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.
