Affiliate disclosure
In short: some links on this site are affiliate links, marked “Ad”. If you buy through one, Mains & Drains may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
How affiliate links work
When you click a “Check price on Amazon” button and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage. The price you pay is the same. We label these links “Ad” and tell you at the top of each guide, in line with ASA and CAP guidance on affiliate marketing.
What it doesn’t change
- No brand pays to be included or ranked.
- We include cheaper options and free fixes even when they earn us nothing.
- We write real downsides for every pick.
- Picks are researched and recommended, not lab-tested (see how we choose).
Our own products
We also sell our own printable guides (Gumroad and Etsy) and a paperback book, The UK Home Handbook. When we link to them, we’re promoting our own products.
What we never promote
We don’t promote investments, trading, crypto or credit products.
